OUR EXPERIENCE OF ADOPTING AN ADULT DOG WHO WAS ABANDONED BY HIS PREVIOUS FAMILY.

Hello readers, Let me quickly give you a little background story so that you know where I come from and why I am writing this topic extremely important to me. I have always wanted a pet from a very young age. Not just a dog but any pet for that matter and I was never allowed to have one. The reason being ( which now strikes to me like a very obvious reason and a fair one). Had we gotten a pet back then my mother would've been involuntarily stuck to taking care of it because my brother and I were in school and if not that then busy with our homework which would've left us with no time to take care of the animal and I am a person with a weak gag reflex and I would've ended up puking most of the time if the pet even pooped in front of me.  (I'll be honest Not much has changed in that department) Although a lot has changed over the course of time. I had friends who had dogs at the time so that let me have some time with them, understanding that having a pet is a huge respo...

TWO AND A HALF MAHARASHTRIANS

Image
We posted a new video yesterday. For people who are unaware of my video channel where I post videos with my partner, Kaustubh then let me tell you all about it. Well for starter we have a youtube channel that was originally called Logically artistique. The reason behind this name was that kaustubh is a more logical person given that he is a maths teacher and I am inclined towards the field of art and thus artistique in nature. Artistic would've been a more appropriate way to spell it but to hell with conformity, right! Almost a year ago we went on a series of trips post our wedding, and the fact that we are a couple of months away from embarking on the biggest journey of our life together ( more on this journey a little later) got us thinking that it'll be a great idea to shoot the journey and document it and post it on youtube for fun sakes.  It is a known fact that you can monetize your content on youtube. Imagine filming something for fun and earn off of it? Isn't...

NO BULLSHIT SKIN CARE ROUTINE FOR ACNE PRONE SKIN

Image
MY NO BULLSHIT SKINCARE ROUTINE. I have over the past decade or so used a lot of homemade remedies,  products ranging from the most natural ones, and the ones which are unapologetically filled with chemicals that are neither good for your skin nor for the planet. I have been experimenting a lot but for the longest time, I have been an advocate of " You are what you eat " philosophy and I stand by it. The meaning of " You are what you eat " is pretty simple but I will explain it nonetheless for people who are unaware of it. Your body however it is at this very instance is a result of what you have been feeding it for years.( Feeding it mentally, physically, and emotionally. ) If you feed negative things the end product won't be a rainbow it will be a negative thought and it shows on your face, it shows on your body in forms of acne due to stress and on your body with either excess fat or lack of it. Now there is a lot of science that goes behind all t...

BEST CAFE IN NAGPUR !

Hi, I am assuming you are either new to Nagpur or have been out of town for a very long time.  If humanity has finally gotten rid of coronavirus by coming up with a vaccine by the time you read this then congratulations to the both of us. If not then there's always coffee to make us feel all warm and nice from the inside and help us forget about this pandemic for the time being.  Let me tell you a little about me, trust me it is very important here. Throughout my life and even now I continue to try new places, cafes, restaurants, and then settling for one. That one place will have it all, the kind of ambiance I love, the vibe and the food and good service of course.  So I know what I am talking about and I will never ever recommend a place which is mediocre in my opinion. I hope you trust my word. For the larger part of my college years, Nagpur only had CCD's everywhere. And I wasn't a fan of it but it was the only option we had so you know you make do ...

DAY 6 OF WAKING UP AT 5 AM.

Image
Hello readers, I am on day 6 of waking up at 5 am. I am going to be honest for the past couple of days kaustubh has been waking me up at 6 am. so it sucks that this blog doesn't really clear the criteria of being day 6 blog but hopefully you'll forgive me and let me call this blog "day 6 of waking up at 5 am." But anyway, today was just as good as yesterday and we made it out of the house. We were so energetic today because We went to bed quite early last night. Who knew if you don't nap the entire day you'd be tired and end up feeling sleepy way earlier than usual! :D I put on rain sounds on our google home and slept like a baby. Today we met so many floofs that my day was bound to go happy and so it did. The Golden retriever we met today, her name is Joey. For breakfast today we were feeling a little extra so we whipped up a batch of  whole wheat pancakes and made strawberry compote ( is what i believe it's called) for the topping and...

DAY 2 OF WAKING UP AT 5 AM

Image
I am writing this blog at 11 PM which is a huge symbol of how waking up at 5 am is going for me. Just kidding, Its not half as bad I thought it would be. But i am still struggling with the sleeping part and surprisingly enough i got up today way before my alarm went off. That could totally be because Wrin kept barking around 3 AM. Today instead of fighting our second hurdle ( If you don't know about the hurdles we have to go through before going out in the morning then you should read my previous blog before starting this one) here is the link  https://rasikadahikar.blogspot.com/2020/07/day-1-of-waking-up-at-5am.html we took wrin with us. Needless to say we weren't prepared for what was about to come our way. There are roughly about 10 dogs on the route we take every morning which means we had to tackle all of them twice while going on the walk and while coming back to our home. And all we had was a huge stick to try and scare them away ( FYI a stick in the hand ...

EVERYTHING YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT PERIOD CUPS!

Image
Let's start this blog on a positive note. If you're a guy reading this and would like to educate yourself for your girlfriend, wife, daughter, sister or just for your own knowledge then keep on reading. But if you are someone who is not willing to learn about this awfully natural and normal thing that women go through every month to bring one of you in this world then please click off immediately. Hi, fellow humans, I am writing this blog with a hint of pride in my heart and I would like you to experience the same. For the past 13 years of my life i have, wait no, we all have survived the horror that is wearing a pad or a tampon on our periods. Let me quickly do some period math for you guys. If we bleed for 5 days a month and use 3 pads each day, we are roughly using 15 pads a month and that'll be 180 pads a year and i don't know about you guys but its been 13 years since i started getting periods which means i have used 2340 pads in total. THAT IS THE A...

30 DAY BLOGGING CHALLENGE!

Image
Okay so here's the deal, I am new to the world of blogging (surprise surprise !!) so its taking me a while to understand how it works and how i am supposed to put my thoughts in a way that it reaches all of you lovely people. But i am enjoying every step of the way and hopefully you are being entertained by whatever little i write here.  I recently stumbled upon this "30 days blogging challenge" which is for all the newbie bloggers out there so i thought this is the best way to Segway into the world of blogging and learn how to put down my thoughts in a better, more articulate way and be consistent about it. I love this writing thing, don't get me wrong but my lazy ass will stall writing ( doing anything productive for that matter) as long as it can and i am trying to force myself to commit to doing something productive everyday. And it works perfectly because July is starting from tomorrow and it will be like a fresh start. New month, new me and all that jazz! ...
