VEGETABLE SOUP FOR YOUR SOUL AND THE ONE WHERE I DID NOT WAKE UP AT 5AM !

Remember when i said i was writing the blog at 11 pm pm?

read this if you don't know what i am talking about.

Well turns out you can not survive on a 4 hour sleep.
5 hour sleep is hitting it too close but 4 hour sleep won't cut it if you plan on waking up early. It just won't. ( thank me later for telling you this)
If you are above the age of 24 you need a minimum of 5 hours of sleep if you plan on waking up at 5 am.
Anyway, we both woke up late and we decided to postpone our shoot because i wasn't feeling confident about the idea. So we decided to just chill. I finished the korean series i was watching and filled my "to watch" list with 12 more kdrama series. Turns out kdrama has a lot of good story lines which i am super excited to binge. They don't have a lot of seasons as opposed to our regular american series which is great, the only downside is that i have to be fully glued to the screen for the subtitles or else i'll be lost.
The day went rather slowly. we had our lunch, spent the day together. We planned to hit a new nursery today but It rained so we went for a long drive instead. Took wrin with us.
I will be posting snippets of that on my instagram.
but here's a picture of wrin and I.

We have been preparing a lot of soups lately so I bought this Urban platter's vegetable buillon and broth powder from amazon.

And for dinner i made this veggie clear soup and i used this while making it. Oh my only i could let you have a whiff of how fragrant the soup was.

I'll just post the recipe of the soup here just in case if you'd like to make it for yourself.

Ingredients:

  • 1 onion
  • cabbage
  • peas
  • carrots
  • dried basil ( you can use whatever herb you like)
  • a couple of garlic cloves ( depending on how much you like them, i used 5)
  • broth powder or fresh vegetable broth if you have it
  • olive oil
  • bay leaf
Method:

  • Chop all the veggies
  • heat some olive oil in a deep pot
  • put chopped garlic first and then onion.
  • saute it till the onion turn translucent
  • add dried basil ( if you have fresh it'll work too)
  • add all the veggies and saute that for a couple of minutes
  • add some water depending on how watery you'd like it. I put 3 huge cups ( you can use your fresh vegetable broth here instead of plain water)
  • When the water comes to a boil put a spoonful and half of broth powder.
  • Let this boil for another minute or two
  • Now at this stage you can blend all of this with an immersion blender if you like or just serve as is

The urban platter broth is not available but here's a similar product that you can get

WOW i feel like a food blogger right now :D
Just kidding, anyway this is what we did all day long.

Tomorrow will be different from today, and I hope it brings us joy and peace.
A day should never be measured on the basis of how much you've achieved but on how peaceful you were the entire day.
If you lose your peace of mind while trying to achieve and fulfill set goals then you're losing much more than you gain.
I hope my daily gyaan helps you.

You can find me on instagram @rasiikaaa for more such gyaan :D
